Lisa Dang, M.D. is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and ophthalmic plastic surgery. Dr. Dang completed her education in her home state of Louisiana, attending Xavier University for her undergraduate degree and obtaining a medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
While in medical school, she served on the medical school admissions committee and was chosen for the Bobbie A. Millet Humanism in Medicine Award, selected by fellow medical students for “an unselfish attitude, compassion, integrity and care of patients”. Dr. Dang completed her internship at Ochsner Health Foundation and ophthalmology residency at LSU. She was then invited to serve as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Medical Student Director, where she truly enjoyed teaching and training future ophthalmologists. Seeking advanced training in the field of oculoplastic surgery, she then moved to Los Angeles, California. Here, she studied under Dr. Lily Lee to receive specialized medical training in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the
eyelids.
Dr. Dang has rejoined Peninsula EyeCare Medical Associates and is excited to once again be part of the South Bay Community. Her practice provides comprehensive eye care with specialization in Oculoplastics.
Dr. Dang specializes in the medical and surgical management of conditions involving the eyelids, orbit, tear ducts, and surrounding facial structures. Her expertise includes:
- Eyelid malpositions (ptosis, entropion, ectropion)
- Blepharoplasty (functional and cosmetic)
- Management of orbital tumors and trauma
- Reconstruction after skin cancer excision
- Non-surgical aesthetic treatments including Botox
