Lisa Dang, M.D. is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in ophthalmic plastic surgery. Dr. Dang completed her education in her home state of Louisiana, attending Xavier University for her undergraduate degree and obtaining a medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. While in medical school, she served on the medical school admissions committee and was chosen for the Bobbie A. Millet Humanism in Medicine Award, selected by fellow medical students for “an unselfish attitude, compassion, integrity and care of patients”.
Dr. Dang completed her internship at Ochsner Health Foundation and ophthalmology residency at LSU. She was then invited to serve as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Medical Student Director, where she truly enjoyed teaching and training future ophthalmologists. Seeking advanced training in the field of oculoplastic surgery, she then moved to Los Angeles, California. Here, she studied under Dr. Lily Lee to receive specialized medical training in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids.
Dr. Dang feels very fortunate to be an eye surgeon and believes it is her highest honor to enhance the quality of life of her patients through vision and aesthetics. She is happily married to Dr. Mark Fujita, who shares a passion for serving the community. Together, they have two delightful children and are passionate about traveling, exploring new cuisine and culture and of course, enjoying the beautiful beaches of California.
